Description

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, College of Engineering at Texas A&M University invites applications for two full-time Academic Professional Track (Non-Tenure) positions. Depending on qualifications and experience applicants will be considered for the titles of lecturer, senior lecturer, instructional assitant professor, instructional associate professor, instructional professor, associate professor of practice, and professor of practice with a 9-month academic appointment beginning as early as June 1, 2025. The successful applicant will teach primarily at the undergraduate level in support of the development of the undergraduate program; advise and mentor undergraduate students; participate in all aspects of the department’s activities; and serve the profession. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.As a major department with an enrollment of about 1,600 undergraduate, 300 Ph.D. and 450 master's students pursuing degrees in electrical and computer engineering, our mission is fourfold to create new knowledge and challenge young minds by participation in the process of discovery and invention, to educate electrical and computer engineers with a solid background of fundamentals, to prepare graduates for an exciting future and to serve the society through research, education and outreach activities. Qualifications

For appointments at Associate Professor of Practice or Professor of Practice level, applicants must have, at the minimum, a master's level degree appropriate for the field in which the faculty member will teach and significant teaching experience at the college/school level in the field or in a related field, or have an extraordinary record of accomplishment in an applied setting. There may be additional requirements depending on the specific faculty title.For appointments at Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Instructional Assistant Professor, Instructional Associate Professor, or Instructional Professor level, applicants must have a doctoral degree in a closely related engineering or science discipline, or a master's level degree appropriate for the field in which the faculty member will teach and significant teaching experience at the college/school level in the field or in a related field, or have an extraordinary record of accomplishment in an applied setting. There may be additional requirements depending on the specific faculty title.
