Assistant Professor of Supply Chain Management
Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:
Sam Houston State University is seeking an Assistant Professor of Supply Chain Management. The primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate students (both face-to-face and online modalities), conducting research, publishing in scholarly journals, and providing service to the department, college, university, academy, and/or local community. Besides a primary focus on operations and/or supply chain management, applicants should express interest in a specialty course like global logistics, strategic sourcing/procurement, decision analysis, and/or supply chain ERP. Further, the candidate should have the enthusiasm to mentor undergraduate students and work collegially with faculty from the department and/or the College of Business Administration. Candidates will need to maintain AACSB's Scholarly Academic qualification as defined by the College of Business Administration.
Educational Requirements for the Position (Faculty Positions Only):
PhD – Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management, or related field; ABD considered.
Experience Required for the Position (Faculty Positions Only):
Candidate must have classroom experience.
General Requirements:
Individual will typically teach 9 hours per semester, engage in research, and support the college through service. Candidate must demonstrate the ability to publish in peer reviewed journals.
Hiring Salary/Recruiting Range:
Commensurate with education and experience.
