Who are we looking for?
We are seeking an Associate Director, HR Operations to join Human Resources, People Services, Administrative Division.
The Associate Director, HR Operations is responsible for leading HR Assist and Payroll Services. The role provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure high-quality, efficient, and client-focused HR operations, while embedding a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and digital enablement. By driving service excellence, technology adoption, and process efficiency, the Associate Director, HR Operations will deliver targeted HR services that enhance the staff experience and support the University’s strategic objectives.

What you need to succeed
- Education, training and/or experience equivalent to postgraduate qualifications in Human Resources, Payroll or a related discipline, combined with extensive experience in managing a large HR/Payroll function.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop multi-skilled teams, fostering a high performance, collaborative and client-focused culture.
- Extensive experience in leveraging technology innovation to enhance service delivery improvement.
- Proven track record in designing and implementing roadmaps for continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to streamline services, drive efficiencies, and enhance the staff experience.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong partnerships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders across HR, Digital Business Solutions, Finance and the broader organisation.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, define performance metrics, and use evidence-based insights to inform decision-making and service improvement initiatives.
