CDT Administrator (Part Time, Fixed Term)

Applications are invited for the post of CDT Administrator based in the Acoustics, Fluid Mechanics, Energy and Turbomachinery Division at the Department of Engineering's central Cambridge site.

The role holder will provide administrative assistance in connection with the Aerosol CDT and duties will include assisting with advertising and recruitment of Aerosol CDT students, as well as acting as the first point of contact for Aerosol CDT PhD students. This will involve interfacing with Aerosol CDT principal investigators across the university, post-graduate administrators in Cambridge, as well as with the lead University of Bristol.

You will be responsible for maintaining UKRI student records and monitoring resources and expenditure against budgets associated with the Aerosol CDT, as well as helping to organise a yearly, one-day conference on Aerosols (Cambridge Particle Meeting), and potentially a multi-day Aerosol CDT conference if hosted in Cambridge.

The successful candidate will be educated to HND/HNC, level 4/5 vocational qualifications or have an equivalent level of practical experience. You will be an experienced user of Microsoft Office with excellent organisational skills. Previous administrative experience, accuracy and attention to detail are essential attributes for this role, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The role responsibilities correspond to one full day a week on average, with some peaks and troughs in activity throughout the year. Training on the various tasks will be provided, as well as an induction into the role. If you believe you have a suitable background for this role, we would be delighted to hear from you.
