Coordinator, LPN Clinical
Job Description
The Nursing Clinical Coordinator (LPN Pathway) supports the School of Nursing by coordinating clinical placements, maintaining program data, and ensuring compliance with facility and accreditation requirements. This position serves as a liaison between students, faculty, and healthcare partners, while assisting with administrative and evaluation processes for both the LPN and BSN programs.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage databases for LPN students and faculty; assist with BSN program data as needed.
- Serve as a clinical liaison between students, faculty, and over 20 medical facilities.
- Oversee the onboarding and compliance process for clinical site and facility requirements.
- Monitor and manage clinical facility contracts in coordination with the Procurement Office.
- Attend Program Evaluation Committee (PEC) meetings, record minutes, and assist in maintaining the Master Evaluation Plan (MEP) for the BSN program.
- Support the development, monitoring, and evaluation of the School of Nursing Strategic Plan in collaboration with the Director and Program Coordinators.
- Evaluate strategic plan progress annually and every three years, submitting reports to leadership.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all School of Nursing publications, including websites and public materials.
- Develop and maintain systems for sharing career opportunities for graduates in collaboration with campus career services.
- Organize and participate in nursing career fairs and related outreach events.
- Manage enrollment and program evaluation data, including Argos reporting and spreadsheet maintenance.
- Support accreditation activities through data collection, survey implementation, and report preparation.
- Attend and record minutes for monthly BSN program and School of Nursing leadership meetings.
- Assist with Govs recruitment and orientation events as assigned.
- Perform other duties as required based on School of Nursing needs.

- Communicate effectively and professionally with students, faculty, staff, and community partners.
- Prepare and maintain accurate electronic records and reports.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Build positive rapport with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Meet deadlines and manage multiple projects independently with minimal supervision.
- Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support university or School of Nursing events.
- Perform duties on the APSU main campus and serve as the primary contact for program clinical needs.
- Demonstrate strong database management and organizational skills.
- Exhibit professionalism, initiative, and attention to detail.
- Proofread written communication for accuracy, grammar, and clarity.
- Maintain detailed records of student enrollment, progression, and outcomes.
- Apply creative problem-solving to enhance program efficiency and student success.
- Collaborate effectively as a team member while maintaining confidentiality.
- Exhibit excellent time management and multitasking skills.
Minimum Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills and experience in database management and website maintenance.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- Experience working with various student populations.
- Demonstrated commitment to student success and academic progression.
- Prior experience in higher education (preferred).
Physical Requirements
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
