Research group focusing on theoretical solid-state physics, particularly topological phases of matter and topological quantum information processing. It is embedded in the Dahlem Center for Complex Quantum Systems.

Field of responsibility:

Research in theoretical solid-state physics within the Collaborative Research Center Heterostructures of Molecules & 2D Materials within the project B06 Theory of exitonic insulator - signatures and in-gap states (subject to project approval).

Requirements:

completed university degree in physics.

Desired:

a very good master's degree in physics with research experience (master's thesis) in theoretical solid-state physics or theoretical many-body physics. Research experience in correlated phases of matter and analytical or numerical methods in many-body physics is particularly desirable.
