The Digital Assessment Systems Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing the University's digital assessment strategy. Reporting to the Manager, Learning Environment Services, this position collaborates with key stakeholders including the Central Examinations team, the Office of Learning and Teaching, and the University assessment working group.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating the operationalisation of the University's digital assessment strategy and systems.
- Managing and configuring digital assessment tools, particularly for centrally managed digital exams.
- Providing expert support and training to staff and students on digital assessment platforms.
- Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness and quality assurance of digital assessment processes.
About the person
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled individual with a passion for digital learning environments.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
- Experience supporting digital exams across various formats, including invigilated and open assessments.
- Strong understanding of digital assessment delivery and evaluation to enhance student experience.
- High-level analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in digital learning technologies.
Desirable attributes include:
- Experience with Blackboard Learn Ultra and tools like Respondus, Turnitin, Examsoft, Cadmus, or BuddyCheck.
- Familiarity with BYOL (Bring Your Own Laptop) exam environments.
- Understanding of assessment design principles and regulatory standards in higher education.
Salary details
The salary for the position commences at $96,064.75 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
Please note: The fixed term of this employment contract will be for up to two years, with twelve months' probation. The prospect of conversion to a continuing employment contract will be discussed at the end of the contract term.
