Director of Campus Engagement

Job Summary

The Director of Campus Engagement strengthens Krannert Center for the Performing Arts' academic interconnectivity by further integrating the Center's programming and events into the academic culture and curriculum through campus-based engagement activities. The position connects student programs affiliated with Krannert Center across campus working closely with students as well as with faculty and staff on arts related activities. This position is committed to broadening opportunities and ensuring participation of the University of Illinois' diverse campus.

Duties & Responsibilities

Engagement

• Serve as a member of the core Engagement Office team contributing to the planning and implementation of artist engagement activities with students
• Coordinate the strategizing, planning, implementation, and evaluation of engagement activities, with responsibility for academic and campus engagement.
• Serve as the administrator for the course FAA 110: Exploring Arts and Creativity.
• Coordinate collaborations with cultural houses, resident student organizations, and other student, campus groups.
• Advise/mentor Krannert Center student groups.
• Recruit students to serve on the Krannert Center Student Fee Advisory Committee.
• Coordinate collaborations with faculty throughout the university and the Department of Fine and Applied Arts.
• Recruit and supervise interns.
• Amplify Krannert Center's "culture of welcome" including serving as the engagement department's accessibility liaison.

Collaborative, Administrative, Personnel, and Committee work

• This position works as a member of the Krannert Center engagement team.
• Participate in various committees and initiatives.
• Collaborate and build positive working relationships with faculty and staff of the resident academic departments.
• Collaboratively manage the budget allocated to engagement at Krannert Center.
