The Department of Information Systems, Business Statistics and Operations Management (ISOM) at HKUST School of Business and Management invites applications for a teaching-track faculty position (Senior Lecturer, Lecturer I or Lecturer II) in Operations Management, expected to begin in July 2024. Titles of Assistant or Associate Professor of Business Education may be offered if appropriate.
Candidates should have a PhD degree (or near completion) in Operations Management or other closely related disciplines, and have a strong record or demonstrate a strong competence in both teaching and applied research.
The Operations Management group of the department offers undergraduate, MSc and PhD programs, and offers courses for the school’s MBA, EMBA, and DBA programs. The department web site is http://www.bm.ust.hk/~isom.
Starting salary will be highly competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave and medical/dental benefits will be provided. Housing benefits will also be provided where applicable. Initial appointment will normally be on a two-year contract, renewable subject to mutual agreement. A gratuity will be payable upon completion of contract.
