PRIMARY DETAIL

  • Annual base salary from $122,628– $136,449 (HEW 8) plus 17% superannuation and leave loading.
  • Full time, continuing role based at Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde.
  • Supportive, collaborative team with hybrid working arrangement.

About The Role

The Global Education & Exchange Partner plays a pivotal role within Graduate Futures, providing subject matter expertise and strategic guidance in Global Education and Exchange. Reporting to the Manager, Experiential Education, you will contribute to the design, optimisation, and enhancement of programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with Macquarie University's strategic objectives and the evolving needs of students and stakeholders.

You’ll also manage relationships and provide support to academic staff within and across Faculties, including Course Directors, and Unit Convenors.

This is a role for someone who thrives on collaboration, insight, and impact—helping shape transformative global education experiences for students.

What You Will Do

  • Advises Faculties on embedding global education into curricula, including exchange programs, field schools, study tours, scholarship programs and international partnerships.
  • Contribute to the development of plans and initiatives within Global Education and Exchange, bringing your subject matter expertise to inform program design and optimisation.
  • Oversee mobility grant and OS-HELP payments, ensuring audits are conducted in a timely manner.
  • Provide tailored advice to Faculties, partnering with academic leaders to enhance program delivery.
  • Offer strategic guidance to support evidence-based decision-making and ensure alignment with Faculty goals.
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends and best practices, integrating insights into program development.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform program enhancements and innovation.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to assess effectiveness and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Strengthen partnerships across community, government, and industry to enrich offerings and create meaningful experiential opportunities for students.

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field supporting expertise in Global Education and Exchange.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and optimising programs within global education and exchange.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to assess effectiveness and develop evidence-based recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build relationships and provide advice to senior academic staff.
  • A proactive approach to staying informed on trends and applying insights to drive program innovation.
