Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Indigenous Student Recruitment Officer (2 positions available) to join , Indigenous Australians, Chancellery Division.
The Indigenous Student Recruitment Officer will be responsible for liaising, consulting and negotiating with a diverse range of stakeholders including Industry partners, government and corporate businesses, schools, prospective Indigenous Australian students and their parents and members of the Indigenous Australians community. The position will liaise and work regularly with a number of units within the University (i.e. faculties, STEM School Program, Library School program, Student Recruitment and Equity) around school recruitment activities and educational opportunities at QUT. The position will be hands on and support recruitment events, exhibitions and school and community engagement activities.

What you need to succeed
- Completion of or extensive progress towards undergraduate qualifications in community development field with relevant experience working in Education and Community Engagement.
- High level communication skills with the ability to deliver presentations to a wide range of audiences including the ability to inspire and motivate prospective Indigenous Australian students.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and innovative thinking including the ability to provide advice and solutions to maximise the impact of recruitment and community engagement strategies.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues, internal and external clients, suppliers and other staff within the University.
- Demonstrated time management skills including the ability to prioritise tasks, work under pressure to meet deadlines and provide a professional service within a busy customer oriented environment.
- Demonstrated experience in organising events to a professional standard to achieve objectives including the ability to develop a culturally responsive format.
