A number of instructors are being sought for the course Humanistic Theory of Science, which is common to all new BA students at the Saxo Institute.
The positions are for employment from September 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025.
The position as an instructor consists of two main tasks. Firstly, you will be involved in a tutor-like function in connection with the students' group work, which is a regular part of most lessons. The group work consists of a one-hour exercise each week, where the students discuss a problem or an assignment that is given on the day. Your task will be to assist the students in initiating the discussion and guiding the conversation in a professional and constructive direction. The second task is to correct the smaller written exercises that the students must submit during the course.
The teaching part corresponds to approximately 2.5 hours per week during the 14 weeks of the semester. The 2.5 hours are divided between 1 hour for the actual teaching and 1.5 hours for preparation. In addition, there are hours for assignment correction.
Qualifications
The positions can be applied for by students who are enrolled in a relevant higher education program during the teaching period and who have completed 2 relevant full-time hours.
Salary and employment conditions
Employment is carried out in accordance with the rules in the collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the National Association of Student Teachers/Association of Danish Medical Students for student teachers at universities, with accompanying minutes.
The hourly wage is DKK 249.02 (April 1, 2025 level).
The appointment requires that you are a student at the Saxo Institute, and emphasis will be placed on applicants showing a broader interest in scientific theoretical issues.
Recruitment procedure
After the application deadline, the hiring manager, with advice from the hiring committee, selects which applicants will be assessed. All applicants will be notified immediately whether their application has been selected for assessment by a professional assessment committee. The selected applicants will be informed of the composition of the committee, and after the assessment has been completed, each applicant will be given the opportunity to comment on the part of the assessment that concerns the applicant.
