Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing educational programming for exhibitions and adjunct programming. Serves as liaison with the campus community, building relationships and developing course curricula in conjunction with museum programming, faculty research interests, and course offerings.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Organizes and leads tours and workshops for university, K-12, and adult audiences
- Plans and coordinates on-site programs and events with guest artists, faculty, staff, and organizations
- Identifies and builds new ways for students and visitors to interact and engage with museum
- May assist in coordinating educational and outreach events for the museum or assigned location
- Designs and implements docent program for students that utilizes visual thinking strategies and peer-to-peer facilitation of in-gallery experiences
- Develops content and interdisciplinary educational materials
- May be responsible for creating volunteer manuals and building a framework for volunteer management
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a History or Education related discipline
Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid and unrestricted driver's license
Required Experience
Two (2) years related work experience in museums, non-profit, cultural, education and/or arts industry venues
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in an Art's related discipline
Proposed Salary
The budgeted salary range for this role is $51,600-$61,000 annually. Offers are based on relevant experience.

This is not a supervisory position.
This position does not have any financial responsibilities.
This position will be required to drive.
This role is considered a position of trust.
This position does not require a purchasing card (P-Card).
This position may travel 50% - 74% of the time
