Salary Range: Minimum of $35,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.
Job Type: Full Time

Job Summary
The Parking Services Assistant II provides enforcement for parking rules and regulations; as well as parking information and directions to campus visitors.
Core Responsibilities
- Delivers quality customer service to campus constituents by enforcing the rules and regulations professionally and exhibiting clear concise communications of guidance and clarification.
- Patrols assigned areas by vehicle or on foot to ensure compliance of parking rules and regulations.
- Maintains current knowledge of parking regulations and other information.
- Communicates information to the supervisor as needed.
- Enters and retrieves information pertaining to vehicle registration, identification, and status, using handheld computers.
- Identifies vehicles in violation of parking regulations, and checks when necessary to confirm whether vehicles need to be booted or towed.
- Locates lost, stolen, and counterfeit parking permits, and takes necessary enforcement action.
- Provides information regarding parking regulations and facilities, and the location of streets, buildings, and points of interest.
- Observes and reports any field maintenance issues for repair.
- Prepares for events by placing cones, barricades, and signage as directed.
- Prepares reports of activities.
- Assists in the training of new staff.
- Promotes safety and environmental protection by immediately reporting unsafe situations, spills, and accidents; following University safety plans/procedures/protocols; and participating in appropriate safety training.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Texas Driver's License.
- Two (2) years of customer service experience.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Citation handheld equipment, immobilizer device, and standard office equipment.
Working Conditions
- Independent work for extended periods in varying climatic conditions.
- May require evening or weekend work for special events.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
This position will work primarily on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
This position is contingent upon a successful background check. Verification of a valid driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) may be completed as applicable. Applicants selected must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States by time of hire.
