Post Doc Scholar
Position Summary
The Department of Food Science and Technology seeks a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar to contribute to research applying mathematical and scientific principles to the design, development, and operational evaluation of systems, equipment, and facilities for the production, processing, storage, handling, distribution, and use of food, feed, and fiber. This position offers an opportunity to work on innovative projects that advance sustainable and efficient food systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on engineering solutions for food production and processing systems.
- Design and evaluate equipment and facilities for food, feed, and fiber handling and storage.
- Apply mathematical modeling and scientific principles to optimize operational performance.
- Collaborate with faculty, graduate students, and industry partners on interdisciplinary projects.
- Prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals and present findings at conferences.
- Assist in grant writing and proposal development for future research funding.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Strong background in mathematical modeling and system design.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
