The Department of Condensed Matter Physics at the Faculty of Science MU announces an open postdoc position in the group of Jan Kuneš.
Job Description
Key Duties:
A successful candidate is expected to work on one of the following topics:
- The interplay between magnetic phase diagrams and crystal structures in perovskite oxides
- Linear magneto-optical effects in altermagnets and non-collinear magnetic structures
- Circular dichroism in RIXS
Skills and Qualifications
The applicant must have:
- Background either in material-specific calculations of strongly correlated materials including electron-lattice coupling, or many-body methods for lattice models, e.g., dynamical mean-field theory or variational Monte Carlo
- Good communication skills (oral and written) in English
