Program Manager for Workforce Success and Readiness

The Workforce & Community Education division is seeking a Program Manager for Workforce Success and Readiness. The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing trainee intake, orientation, completion, credentials, job placement, program grants, and funding. The position serves as the primary point of contact for prospective trainees and employers, working closely with members of the Workforce staff to guide trainees through the intake process, including program selection, application process, compliance with grant requirements, orientation and assessment. This role is also responsible for assisting trainees with workplace readiness and job placement upon program completion along with tracking employment outcomes to evaluate program effectiveness. The Program Manager for Workforce Success and Readiness serves as a vital link between the college, its trainees, and the regional workforce. Working collaboratively with the Coordinator of Career Services and other areas on campus, the Program Manager will implement programs and connections that align with our mission, values and strategic plan to support trainee success.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage trainee in-person and on-line intake, baseline assessments, interest identification, and goal setting to best match training and supports.
  • Collaborate with trainees to ensure compliance with grant requirements by verifying eligibility and assisting with the accurate and timely completion of required documentation.
  • Enhance training programs and workplace readiness by seeking and managing grants and funding opportunities including budget oversight.
  • Administer assessments, review results, and assist with trainee plans for skill development.
  • Collaborate with other Workforce Program Managers as needed.
  • Support trainees in developing career-readiness skills and job placement.
  • Conduct follow-ups with program graduates and employers to gather feedback.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with industry partners to identify job opportunities aligned with program offerings.
  • Work with employers for experiential learning and/or job placements.
  • Implement workplace readiness strategies such as resume development, interview preparation, job search strategies, and professional conduct.
  • Track and report on trainee outcomes, including job placement rates, retention, and salary data.
  • Use data insights to recommend improvements to Workforce training programs.
  • Attendance and participation in various college fairs, career fairs, networking, and community events.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in education, business administration, human resources, or a related field; or at least three years of experience in program management, workforce development, or related fields.
  • Proven experience building strong relationships with employers, community organizations and diverse constituencies.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Exemplary communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency with data management systems and MS Office Suite.
  • Experience working in a collaborative manner with diverse constituencies.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Berkshire County workforce training and labor market trends.
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills.
  • Strong data management skills using a variety of software platform systems.

Additional Information:

  • Source of Funding: State
  • Salary: $62,000 - $72,000 per year; Full-time; benefited
