King’s Centre for International Education and Languages (CIEL) a new, cross-cutting Centre designed to widen the educational reach of King’s. It brings together three existing areas: King’s Foundations, Summer Programmes, and King’s Language Centre. Each of these areas is well established, respected and recognised beyond the King’s community. The Centre is focused on enabling collaboration between the three departments to further advance our work in promoting educational excellence and supporting and enhancing the student experience. The Centre has significant expertise in International Education and makes an important contribution to the rich and diverse make-up of the King’s student body.
King’s Foundations, part of the Centre for International Education and Languages (CIEL), delivers high-quality international pathway programmes, academic skills development, and English language preparation courses. The Programmes Manager is one of several roles within the wider programme administration team that supports all on-campus and online King’s Foundations programmes. These include the International Foundation Programme, Pre-sessional English courses, the Academic Skills Programme, and a range of bespoke short courses.
About the role
The Programme Manager (Quality Assurance) provides high-quality coordination and specialist administrative support for quality assurance processes within King’s Foundations. Working with the CIEL Quality Assurance Manager, the postholder ensures programmes adhere to College regulations (adapted as required for King’s Foundation provision), supports academic leads in meeting governance requirements, and contributes to the continuous enhancement of teaching and learning quality. The postholder will also play a key role in explaining quality assurance processes and mechanisms to colleagues, supporting their understanding of requirements and the value of these activities
This is a full time (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
The role is available from 1st August 2026.
