SALARY: $15.50 per hour

UNIT: Grants and Special Projects (Part-time)

DEPARTMENT: Early Learning Center

REPORTS TO: Director, Early Learning Center

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assists teacher in daily classroom activities.
2. Assists teacher in observing, recording, and assessing child's growth and development.
3. Maintains ratios set forth by Licensing.
4. Performs other duties as assigned by Director.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• CPR-certified or willing to get certified within two weeks of hire

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in child care with a diverse population

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:

SCHEDULE: Part-time position, up to 20 hours per week

Flexible schedule, Monday – Friday

2 total positions available

Shift option 1: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Shift option 2: 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Hours of operation are between 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Duration: through 6/30/2026 with the potential to extend beyond this date contingent on funding

This is a specially funded position, dependent for its existence upon federal, State, or other non-College operating funds, and is not funded pursuant to the regular College budget. Continued employment is always contingent upon satisfactory performance and College needs. Grant funded positions are also contingent upon continued funding. This appointment is for the specified period only. Employment beyond the expiration date of the grant is subject to appropriate provisions of existing collectively bargained agreements in effect at the time for employees covered by those agreements.
