About these opportunities

We are seeking two research academics to join our world-class research team at the Frazer Institute to support and drive research into genetic counselling and public health genomics.

Working under the guidance and direction of Dr Tatiane Yanes and Associate Professor Aideen McInerney-Leo, successful candidates will take a leadership role in supporting a range of research projects within the Integrating Genomics into Medicine (IGM) group at the Frazer Institute, Translational Research Centre. IGM’s research focuses on the development and evaluation of interventions to promote the utilisation of genomic testing and polygenic risk in healthcare systems. Projects entail developing genomics education for healthcare providers and consumers, and assessing the associated clinical and public health outcomes, along with ethical, legal and social considerations.

These two research-focused opportunities are being sought as follows:

  • Position 1: Reporting to Dr Tatiane Yanes, this is a full-time, fixed-term position for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Level A for a period of 2 years.
  • Position 2: Reporting to Associate Professor Aideen McInerney-Leo, this is a full-time, fixed-term position for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (Level A) or Research Fellow (Level B) for a period of 3 years. This position will be offered at Level A or B commensurate with the successful candidate’s skills and experience.
