Are you passionate about psychology and eager to gain hands-on research experience? The Department of Psychology is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Research Assistant. In this role, you’ll provide essential administrative and managerial support to ongoing research projects, helping to shape the future of psychological science. You’ll have the opportunity to plan and coordinate specific phases of research, collaborate with faculty and fellow researchers. If you're organized, curious, and ready to make an impact, we encourage you to apply.

Opportunities to Contribute

  • Assists in the design, planning, and coordinating of experiments in support of research projects.
  • Selects and applies standard techniques of routine research and keeps detailed records of data.
  • Uses computers and laboratory or technical equipment to perform data analysis, statistical analysis, and technical evaluation of research experiments and results.
  • Evaluates and summarizes results.
  • Assists in preparing and writing proposals to funding agencies
  • Maintains financial accounts related to research projects.
  • Assists undergraduate and/or graduate students and other laboratory, technical or field staff involved in research.
  • Installs, operates, maintains, and/or repairs research equipment.
  • Assists with reports, invoices, and cataloging records.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

-   Bachelor’s degree in relevant field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

A well-qualified candidate will also possess

  • Knowledge of laboratory maintenance and equipment.
  • Knowledge of computers and computer software related to the position.

Salary

: Compensation will be commensurate based on the selected hire’s education and experience.
