The Division of Integrative Systems and Design (ISD) is inviting outstanding postdoctoral level young scholars (i.e., recent PhD graduates) to fill the positions of Research Assistant Professor in the Division.
Applicants are expected to display potentials of injecting new research ideas and exploring funding opportunities for enhancement of the Division’s research capabilities and strengths. Successful candidates should demonstrate a record of exciting research that appears in leading journals. They will be expected to lead independent research and to actively seek research funding via competitive research grant applications. They will also be involved in teaching or co-teaching of postgraduate and undergraduate courses. Areas of interest for ISD include:
Design theory, process and methodology
Human factors and ergonomics
Integrative systems
Active ageing
Human computer interaction and media
Mixed reality
Marine systems design
Technology in arts
Advanced materials
Wearable healthcare devices
Advanced solar material design
Other areas of design
Salary is highly competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term 2-year contract. Contract renewal will be subject to performance, funding availability and mutual agreement. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract. Fringe benefits include annual leave, medical and dental benefits. Housing allowance may be provided where applicable.
