"Security Guard"

Under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor, the UCSF Senior Security Guard will provide proactive crime prevention patrol of all Medical Center Facilities and safety surveillance for all staff, patients, and guests. All Officers will monitor activities to ensure compliance with stated policies and program services. Each Guard will be assigned specific POST duties and understand, assist, and respond to requests for security assistance. There are POST orders and policies and procedures for areas of responsibility. There are special projects and events, the Guard will comply with other duties as assigned.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors, including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. Effective 7/1/25: The hourly range for this position is $31.15-$41.92 and the entry point for all hires if $31.15.
