Senior Analyst, Student Experience

We are seeking a Senior Analyst, Student Experience to join Digital Business Solutions, Administrative Division

The Senior Analyst, Student Experience is charged with extracting insights that will enable QUT to improve the student experience and graduate outcomes. The person in this role will deliver new and improved analytics products by using modern technology for performing descriptive and predictive analytics including both qualitative and quantitative data. This role will work with the University Survey Coordinator to drive improvements to the collection of student feedback, voice of the customer, and improve survey response rates. The person in this role will also work closely with key operational areas within the university, spanning both technical and student business support services to drive the collection, collation and analysis of student touchpoints with the university.

What you need to succeed

  1. Education, training and/or experience equivalent to the completion of graduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications in the data and analytics discipline.
  2. In-depth knowledge and demonstrated experience in analytic methodologies and techniques, particularly in the area of dimensional modelling and its application to reporting processes.
  3. Demonstrated ability to conceptualise, develop and translate complex business issues into creative workable solutions that convert analytics into data products.
  4. Demonstrated ability to facilitate analytics workshops that have contributed to major change programs, strategic developments or initiatives via the provision of analysis and insights which inform organisational objectives.
  5. Highly developed data literacy skills with demonstrated proficiency in Business Intelligence tools, and data warehousing.
  6. High-level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tell stories with data, quickly establish rapport and manage collaborative working relationships.
