Remuneration: $135,483 to $153,562 pa (HEW8) (inclusive of $114,485 to $129,761 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)

Location: Gardens Point (hybrid option available)

Open to: Aboriginal Australians and Torres Strait Islander people currently employed by QUT. For this position it is a genuine occupational requirement that it be filled by an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person as permitted by and arguable under sections 25, 104 and 105 of the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Act (1991).

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Senior Indigenous Engagement and Partnerships Coordinator to join Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Indigenous Australians, Indigenous Australians, Chancellery Division.

The Senior Indigenous Engagement and Partnerships Coordinator will play a strategic role in advancing QUT's priorities for Indigenous Australians by fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The position involves developing and implementing overarching engagement strategies to enhance participation from Indigenous Australian alumni, stakeholders, and community members. Additionally, the Coordinator will work closely with the Director, Indigenous Industry and Community Partnerships to lead industry engagement activities and develop key partnership protocols, agreements, and strategies.

What you need to succeed

1. Completion of postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and/or extensive relevant experience.
2. Proven success in contributing to support, development and advancement strategies for Indigenous Australian peoples. 
3. Demonstrated ability to liaise with and effectively manage relationships with diverse groups of stakeholders (both internal and external).
4. Highly developed written communication skills, with demonstrated high-level expertise in writing and editing a wide range of documents (eg guidelines, reports, and briefing papers.
5. Demonstrated time management and organisational skills including the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines with minimum supervision.
6. Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability to contribute effectively to policy and procedural review, and continuous improvement.
