This hybrid role is primarily based at our Pittville campus, with occasional travel to our other sites across Cheltenham and Gloucester.

We’re now seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer (Data) to lead our Data Team and help drive innovation across the institution.

About the Role

This is an exciting leadership opportunity within Digital Services, where you’ll take ownership of developing, maintaining, and delivering high­quality data products and integrations that meet the evolving needs of our University community.

In this role, you will:

• Lead and mentor the Data Team, becoming a trusted source of technical expertise.
• Work across both on premise and cloud based systems, ensuring the University’s data infrastructure is robust, efficient, and future­ready.
• Build and enhance data pipelines, integrations, and APIs, using modern tools and best practices to deliver reliable, high value solutions.
• Collaborate across IT Services and the wider University, shaping data-driven decision­making and innovation.
