Join us in shaping the insights, engagement and global performance that define Henley Business School on the world stage.

Henley Business School is looking for a motivated, curious and proactive Student Engagement and Rankings Junior Officer (Placement Student) to play an important role in strengthening our reputation and contributing to the School’s global standing. This is a fantastic opportunity for an undergraduate seeking a placement year (September 2026 to August 2027) where you will gain meaningful, hands on experience at the intersection of data, student engagement and global rankings.

Sitting within the Rankings & Performance team, you will support projects that help position Henley Business School as a leading international business school. This varied role offers exposure to both strategic and operational activity—from coordinating student and graduate engagement campaigns to assisting with the preparation of performance dashboards and insight reporting. You will work closely with colleagues across the School and support the smooth delivery of projects linked to major domestic and global rankings – these will including activities linked to the National Student Survey (NSS) and Graduate Outcomes, as well as to the Financial Times and QS rankings.

A core part of your role will involve supporting the planning and delivery of engagement campaigns with current students and recent graduates. Through guided communications, in person events and targeted online outreach, you will help encourage participation in surveys and activities that directly influence global rankings outcomes. Your experience as a current university student will be invaluable in shaping messages, understanding student behaviours and helping us strengthen relationships with key audiences.

Alongside this engagement work, you will contribute to the team’s growing analytical activity. You will help maintain and update information linked to engagement campaigns, track survey participation, and assist in preparing dashboards in Excel and Power BI. Through this work, you will develop practical experience in managing datasets, producing updates for stakeholders and supporting decision making with clear and accessible information.

As part of this role, you will gain:

  • Experience supporting global business school rankings, including projects with major international publishers.
  • Practical experience delivering student and graduate engagement campaigns, spanning events, digital outreach and targeted communication.
  • Hands on analytical experience maintaining datasets and dashboards (Excel/Power BI) to support performance insight and reporting.

In carrying out your duties, you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating and delivering engagement activities that encourage student and graduate participation in key national feedback, rankings and employability surveys.
  • Supporting the preparation and delivery of campaign and performance data, ensuring information is accurate, well organised and ready for reporting.
  • Building effective relationships with students, alumni and internal teams to ensure successful delivery of rankings related projects and campaigns.

Candidate profile

We are seeking someone who is organised, confident and enthusiastic—someone who enjoys working with people as much as they enjoy working with data. You will bring strong communication skills, good attention to detail and the ability to work methodically across multiple tasks. Confidence using social media and messaging platforms is important, and effective Excel skills will be valuable. Experience with Power BI, telephone outreach would be beneficial but not required.

If you are a self-motivated student excited by the chance to contribute to a globally recognised business school, we would love to hear from you.
