AcademicJobs does not sell your personal information in exchange for money. We are a specialist academic recruitment platform, and our revenue comes from employer subscriptions, job postings, and related recruitment services — not from selling user data to data brokers or unrelated third parties.

Some U.S. state privacy laws define "sharing" or "selling" broadly, so that they can include the use of certain cookies, tracking pixels, and analytics tools — even where no money changes hands. We may use such technologies to:

You may designate an authorised agent to submit an opt-out request on your behalf. We may require the agent to provide written authorisation signed by you and, where necessary, verify your identity directly before honouring the request.

For opt-out requests, we generally do not require identity verification unless we have a reasonable basis to believe the request is fraudulent.
