Weather and Climate at HSUHK

The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong experiences a subtropical climate. The city has four distinct seasons:

• Spring (March to May): Temperatures range from 18°C to 25°C with increasing humidity.
• Summer (June to August): Hot and humid with temperatures between 26°C to 33°C, and frequent typhoons and heavy rainfall.
• Autumn (September to November): Cooler with temperatures from 20°C to 28°C, and less humidity.
• Winter (December to February): Mild and dry with temperatures ranging from 12°C to 20°C.

The weather can impact commuting and campus life, especially during typhoon season when classes may be canceled or moved online. Outdoor research activities are more feasible in the cooler months.
