Weather and Climate at UCI

Universidad para la Cooperación Internacional (UCI) is located in Costa Rica, which experiences a tropical climate. The region has two main seasons:

• Dry Season (December to April): Temperatures range from 21°C to 30°C, with minimal rainfall, making it ideal for outdoor activities and commuting.
• Rainy Season (May to November): Temperatures are similar, but with significant rainfall, which can impact commuting and outdoor research. The average rainfall during this period can be up to 300mm per month.

Extreme weather conditions like hurricanes are rare but possible, and the university's location in San José ensures a relatively stable climate conducive to year-round academic activities.
