Duties and Responsibilities of Assistant Director for Student
Life - Programming & Administration
- Daily oversight of RSOs and RSO communication.
- Organize and facilitate monthly RSO training for RSO
officers.
- Develop and maintain RSO Orientations, Trainings, assist with
updating manuals for RSOs, student workers, and office.
- Manage the RSO Purchasing Cards with the administrative
assistant of the Office of Student Life.
- Track and maintain the RSO and office budgets.
- Work closely with the Office of Student Life Graduate Assistant
on RSO management.
- Plan and implement social programming for the Hammond Campus,
including partnering with campus and community partners and
identifying a budget for small scale events and tracking
expenditures.
- Will involve purchasing and occasional trips to various
shopping locations to support events.
- This may include assisting with large scale Office of Student
Life Events such as the Welcome Rally.
- This includes supervision of all students assigned to assist
with programs on the Hammond campus.
- Manage the Hammond Student Life Office, including the upkeep of
all technology items for the Hammond office and ensuring the office
environment is staffed and running efficiently and
effectively.
- This includes supervision of all student office staff.
- Manage the Hammond Food Pantry in coordination with the PNW
Pantry Committee.

- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree preferred
Experience of Assistant Director for Student Life - Programming
& Administration
- Two years of experience working with students or in a college
environment required
Core Competencies of Assistant Director for Student Life -

- Good organizational and communication skills
- Experience working with databases, spreadsheets and budget
management
