Job Description
The UC Irvine Paul Merage School of Business is seeking candidates to fill one tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Strategy & Entrepreneurship area to begin as early as July 1, 2027.
ABOUT THE MERAGE SCHOOL OF BUSINESS
The successful candidate will join a dynamic business school located in the heart of Southern California's thriving business community. Merage School faculty are recognized globally for their research contributions and teaching innovation in strategy, entrepreneurship, management, and organization theory, and the School consistently ranks among the top 10 percent of AACSB-accredited business schools worldwide.
New hires will have opportunities to teach across a range of undergraduate and graduate programs, including courses offered on weekday evenings, weekends, and during summer sessions, and to mentor doctoral students. Successful candidates may be expected to develop online or hybrid courses consistent with the School's objectives and teaching needs.
Faculty join an inclusive and collaborative community of scholars drawn from around the world, an environment that drives innovation and prepares students to lead in a digitally driven world, supported by an AI-infused curriculum and close ties to the Orange County business ecosystem.
The School's six faculty-led Centers of Excellence serve as a bridge between the Merage School and the local business community: the Beall Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the Center for Digital Transformation, the Center for Health Care Management and Policy, the Todd and Lisa Halbrook Center for Investment and Wealth Management, the Center for Real Estate, and the Long U.S.-China Institute.

Preferred and Required Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
We are seeking individuals with a commitment to excellence in research and teaching in Strategy & Entrepreneurship. A Ph.D. in management or other relevant discipline is required (Ph.D. must be completed by September 2027). We especially encourage applications from those who can contribute to our strategy of leadership in the digital age and to inclusive excellence.
