Job description
The Role
Accountable to the Board of Medical Studies, through the Office of the Director or Deputy Director of Medical Studies, to manage the delivery and assessment of the Early Clinical and Community Experience (ECCE) and Transition to Clinically Based Learning (TCBL) courses of the MBBS curriculum in order to integrate students' early clinical training. There is currently a review taking place of students' early clinical experiences to ensure that the early years of the degree programme have a refreshed clinical focus.
The postholder will work closely with local education providers (LEP) within the regional medical school and NUMed, and will ensure the quality of teaching, learning and assessment for all students undertaking this clinical placement. The postholder will work closely with the Year Leads, alongside primary and secondary care colleagues delivering the courses. They will be directly accountable to Dr James Fisher, Head of Admissions/ Clinical Development.
