This temporary role will support daily operations and the growth of our Special Event programming, including working closely with volunteers and Osher staff to develop and program at least 120 tours of community businesses, museums, restaurants, and facilities per year.

This is a temporary position with an anticipated duration of July 16, 2026 to December 15, 2026 determined by business needs; specific start and end dates may vary accordingly.
Responsibilities
Work with the Osher director and Osher member volunteers to establish and meet tour/event programming goals - e.g., number and type of tours and events offered each term, tours and events to repeat, and guest speakers for the large member events.
Coordinate all special events with member volunteers, including registration, scheduling, rosters, attendance, etc.
Maintain information about special events across systems.
Develop relationships with community partners, members, instructors, and volunteers.
Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers in person, over the phone, and via e-mail.
Assist with daily course coordination and customer service.
Minimum Qualifications
Program Specialists, II: Requires a bachelor's (or equivalency) + 4 years or a master's (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience.
