The postdoc position is for 5 years and it is based in the Schulenburg group (https://evoecogen-kiel.de/). The research is part of the ERC project on CrypticBenefits and aims at understanding how antimicrobial heteroresistance and more generally phenotypic heterogeneity evolves in bacteria. As a model, we will focus on the opportunistic bacterial pathogen Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The work combines evolution experiments with whole genome sequence analysis, bacterial genetics, and functional analysis.
