Enterprise Systems Integration
Analyst/Programmer . The University of Dubuque offers a

Position Summary:
The Enterprise Systems Integration Analyst/Programmer will play a
critical role in supporting, enhancing, and integrating the
University of Dubuque's enterprise systems. This position focuses
on systems analysis, data integration, automation, and technical
problem solving to improve data flow, system reliability, and user
experience across campus. The role collaborates closely with
functional departments to understand business needs and translates
them into scalable, maintainable technical solutions that support
the University's mission.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders across campus to understand
business processes, data needs and system challenges
Analyze existing systems and workflows and recommend technical
or process improvements!
Translate functional requirements into technical designs and
specifications
Develop, maintain, and enhance scripts, procedures, and
automation to support institutional systems and workflows
Utilize scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python,
JavaScript, T-SQL) to support data processing, integration and
automation
Ensure code quality, documentation and adherence to best
practices
Create forms and workflows to assist in improving processes and
data flow between and within departments across campus
Automate processes to allow faculty and staff to spend more
time interacting with students versus performing arduous tasks and
unneeded paperwork
Be a partner that others across campus can rely upon to provide
high-quality assistance and insight regarding needs related to
systems, data and processes
Design, implement, and support integrations between systems
using APIs, data feeds and other integration methods
Monitor and troubleshoot integrations to ensure data accuracy,
reliability and performance
Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on system upgrades,
patches and integration changes
Support and enhance web-based applications, forms and campus
portal functionality
Assist with the configuration and scripting of user-facing
systems to improve usability, accessibility, and overall user
experience
Work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify
opportunities to better leverage existing web platforms
Support reporting and analytics initiatives by ensuring
reliable data availability and integration
Assist in the development of reports, dashboards and data
extracts used for operational and strategic decision-making
Serve as a secondary support resource for key enterprise
applications, learning system configurations, scripting, and
workflows as needed to ensure continuity of operations
Document system logic, integrations, procedures and technical
configurations so they can be supported by others
Perform other duties as assigned in support of the University's
mission

Requirements:
- Undergraduate Degree Required; bachelor's degree in computer
science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related
field preferred, or equivalent professional experience
- Familiar with workflow automation, forms platforms, or document
management solutions
- Experience working with relational databases and SQL-based
systems
- Experience with scripting or programming languages such as
Python and JavaScript
- Familiar with API-based integrations and data exchange
concepts
- Experience in supporting or developing web-based systems or
applications
- Experience working in a higher education or similarly complex,
multi-system environment
- Experience supporting or integrating enterprise systems such as
student information systems, document management systems, learning
management systems or campus portals
