Rate My Professor Abdul Aziz

Aziz has published peer-reviewed articles in international and local endodontic journals and authored a chapter in a Methods of Molecular Biology textbook. Notable publications include 'Bacterial viability determination in a dentinal tubule infection model by confocal laser scanning microscopy' (2010, Australian Endodontic Journal, co-authored with Dikesh Parmar, Andrew J. Palamara, Peter R. Messer), which examined bacterial persistence in dentinal tubules using advanced microscopy. Another key paper is 'Infection of Apical Dentin and Root-end Cavity Disinfection' (2012, Journal of Endodontics, co-authored with Nicholas P. Chandler, Catharina H.J. Hauman, Jonathan W. Leichter), investigating microbial penetration in apical dentin and disinfection efficacy during root-end surgery. He also co-authored the forthcoming 'Endodontic Complexity: A Scoping Review of Case Difficulty Assessment Tools and Indices' (2026, International Endodontic Journal, with GSS Lin and others). These works reflect his contributions to endodontic microbiology, disinfection techniques, and clinical assessment tools, supporting advancements in dental treatment outcomes at the University of Otago's Faculty of Dentistry.
