Amy Martin serves as Administrative Vice-President of the Otago University Students' Association (OUSA) at the University of Otago. As a fourth-year student majoring in psychology and management through her BA and BCom degrees, she joined the executive to foster greater involvement in the university community and ensure student voices are effectively represented. A primary objective in her role is to enhance student engagement by educating them on OUSA's functions and support mechanisms.
In her capacity as OUSA Administrative Vice President, Amy Martin has been instrumental in celebrating student accomplishments, notably via the University of Otago Blue Awards. She remarked on the exceptional passion, talent, and dedication shown by applicants: “It really highlights just how much passion, talent, and commitment our students bring to so many different areas. However, it was incredibly tough to make decisions in categories where only one person could win. It is such a privilege to celebrate the hard mahi and dedication students have put into their work, whether in sport, culture, or service. It’s amazing for the students to have the opportunity to be given that moment of recognition and celebration both for the outcomes and the journey and effort that got them there.”
An Amy Martin graduated from the University of Otago's Department of Marketing with a BCom (Marketing and Management majors) in 2018 and a Master of Marketing Management (MMart) in 2020.
