Angela Wong is a Senior Professional Practice Fellow in the School of Pharmacy at the University of Otago, within the Health Sciences Division. She earned her Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) and Postgraduate Certificate in Pharmacy (PGCertPharm) in Travel Medicine from the University of Otago. As a Registered Pharmacist (RegPharmNZ), she mentors pharmacy interns through the Pharmaceutical Society of New Zealand (PSNZ) Otago branch, providing guidance to interns across the Otago region.
In education, Angela Wong teaches undergraduate students in the second, third, and fourth years of the pharmacy programme at the School of Pharmacy. She also serves as the cold chain lead for the School of Pharmacy Clinic, managing the storage of temperature-sensitive medications. Her research contributions appear in publications on antibiotic knowledge and use. She is a co-author of the article 'Knowledge and reported use of antibiotics amongst immigrant ethnic groups in New Zealand' by Norris, P., Ng, L. F., Kershaw, V., Hanna, F., Wong, A., Talekar, M., et al., published in 2010 in the Journal of Immigrant & Minority Health (12(1), 107-112). Additionally, she contributed to the verbal presentation 'Knowledge and use of antibiotics in specific population groups' by Norris, P., Ng, L. F., Kershaw, V., Azer, M., Hanna, F., Wong, A., et al., at the Annual Conference of the Australasian Pharmaceutical Science Association, Adelaide, Australia, December 2006.
