Dr. Anita Dewi is a Monash University affiliate in Indonesian Studies, situated within the Faculty of Arts and the School of Languages, Literatures, Cultures and Linguistics. She earned her PhD in Applied Linguistics from Monash University in 2012 and her MEd in TESOL from Monash University in 2007. Additional degrees include an MIM in Librarianship and Information Management from the University of South Australia in 2021, an MSi in Agribusiness Management from Universitas Gadjah Mada in 2001, a BEc in Management from Universitas Gadjah Mada, and a BEd in English Education from Universitas Sanata Dharma. From 2010 to 2022, she held a sessional teaching associate position in the School of Languages, Cultures, and Linguistics. She also worked as Research Learning Coordinator at the Sir Louis Matheson Library and maintains an affiliation with the Herb Feith Indonesian Engagement Centre.
Anita Dewi's research specializations and academic interests cover librarianship, applied linguistics, and translation studies. Her key publications encompass "Foreword 1" (2023), "History and Korean studies work-integrated learning library internships" (2023, co-authored with Diane L. Velasquez), "Broadening students' employability horizons" (2021, co-authored with Jung-Sook Kim and Angus Jackson), "COVID-19, Australia's academic library service" (2020, co-authored with Jung-Sook Kim), and "Via vallen phenomenon" (2020, co-authored with E. D. Riyanto). She served as an Associate Investigator on the project "Creating a Nexus at Monash for a Stronger Korean Studies in Melbourne and the Metropolitan Region" (2017–2022). Dewi participated in the public event "Monash University Library Asian Studies Staff Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic" (2020), underscoring her contributions to library services and interdisciplinary cultural research.
