Dr Bianca Dobson is a Research Adviser at Health Research South within the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Otago. She supports commercial trial costing and budget preparation as part of the Locality Authorisation for Te Whatu Ora – Southern and the University of Otago. Her office is based in Dunedin, and she operates during standard business hours from 8:30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Bianca Dobson demonstrated early academic excellence by receiving the Ann Wylie Prize in 2006 for the best overall performance in three or more 300-level Genetics papers at the University of Otago, excluding GENE 360. This prize honors Associate Professor Ann Wylie, who established the first Genetics course at the university. Additionally, Dr Dobson has been acknowledged in the acknowledgements sections of several postgraduate theses deposited in the University of Otago's OUR Archive, including 'Understanding Adult Children's Elder Care Struggle and Decision Making' and 'Supporting allied health professionals in rural Central Otago'. These acknowledgements recognize her contributions as Research Advisor to the respective research projects, one from the School of Physiotherapy.
