Dr Brok Glenn is an Adjunct Professor in the College of Health, Medicine and Wellbeing at the University of Newcastle, Australia, with an affiliation to the Central Coast Research Institute. He earned a BSc (Hons) and PhD from the University of London, where he spent his formative years training in the neurosciences. His academic and professional trajectory reflects a strong commitment to higher education leadership and strategic administration within health and wellbeing sectors.
Dr Glenn's career includes significant leadership roles at the University of Newcastle, where he served as Dean of the Central Coast Campus from 2016 onward and later as Dean of Regional Campuses until 2021. In these capacities, he advanced institutional initiatives such as partnerships with Central Coast communities, strategic research grants supporting local projects in health and related fields, student employability programs, and efforts to integrate care for regional wellbeing. He championed inter-campus collaboration through measures like hot desking at the Ourimbah campus and celebrated the university's 25-year milestone on the Central Coast. Prior to Newcastle, at the Australian National University, he held positions including Executive Director (Administration and Planning), Director of Policy and Planning, and College Dean for the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences, earning the Vice-Chancellor's Award for Career Achievement in 2004. He also occupied executive roles at CSIRO and in the private sector. A Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), Dr Glenn currently contributes to community boards including Coastlink since December 2020 and Central Coast Grammar School since 2018.
