In 2024, Golf Digest named him one of the Best Fitness Trainers in America for 2025-26, selecting him as one of ten from the Midwest and the only trainer from Indiana. This follows his 2020 inclusion among the top 50 golf fitness trainers in the United States by Golf Digest. Odaffer's research output includes a July 2021 poster presentation, 'Reliability and Validity of a Wireless Inertia Sensor During Unloaded Countermovement Jumps.' He appreciates the University of Indianapolis's small class sizes, which foster a family atmosphere conducive to direct faculty-student interaction. As the first in his family to earn a four-year degree, Odaffer emphasizes practical career applications for exercise science graduates.
