Dr. Dana Onayemi serves as the Director of Graduate Programs in Computer Science at Judson University, where she also holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department. She is a dynamic leader in the field of computer science education and research. With a demonstrated history of school, curriculum, and organizational leadership, Dr. Onayemi has a deep understanding of the needs and challenges facing computer science educators and researchers. Her skill set encompasses a wide range of STEM disciplines, including research, writing, strategic thinking, and analytical skills. Her entrepreneurial spirit and tech-savviness make her well-equipped to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of computer science.
Dr. Onayemi earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana in 2005, followed by a Master of Education in Literacy, a Master of Education in School Leadership, and a Doctor of Education degree. Her career includes teaching students ranging in age from pre-K to adult, curriculum writing, consulting, and facilitating numerous professional development sessions, broadening her perspective to make informed decisions in the best interest of all stakeholders. In addition to her role at Judson University, she founded ImaginED Solutions LLC, an educational advocacy, strategic planning, and consulting group, through which she champions equity and fosters an adaptive mindset among educators. She is also an Associate Alumni member of The Educator Collaborative. As Director of Graduate Programs, Dr. Onayemi oversees initiatives such as the Master of Science in Computer Science and the Doctor of Education in Computer Science, managing curriculum and supporting students.
