Ebony Sihamau serves as an Administrator within the Academic Division at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand. She is part of the Student Administration team in the Student Experience department, situated at the St David II Building, 75 St David Street, Dunedin 9016. In this capacity, she contributes to the administrative support for student services and academic operations at one of New Zealand's leading universities.
Ebony Sihamau has demonstrated engagement with university research activities. The Riddet Institute, led from the University of Otago's Department of Human Nutrition, is a Centre of Research Excellence dedicated to research in digestive physiology, advanced foods, and health outcomes. Ebony Sihamau is identified as Niuean/NZ European in the institute's July-December 2021 annual report. Earlier, at Bayfield High School, she earned highly commended recognition in biology, geography, and tourism in 2016.
