Emanuel Rosonina is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology at York University. His research focuses on the regulation of gene expression in eukaryotic cells, with particular emphasis on RNA Polymerase II transcription and the control of gene expression through SUMO post-translational modifications. The Rosonina Lab investigates how cells control gene activity to support growth and adaptation to environmental changes, utilizing budding yeast as a model organism and employing methods from molecular biology, biochemistry, yeast genetics, and genome-scale technologies.
Rosonina previously conducted postdoctoral research at Columbia University and completed graduate studies at the University of Toronto. He is eligible to supervise students in the Biology Graduate Program at York University.
