Dr Fatemeh Khosravi, also known as Dr Mehri Khosravi, is an Energy and Carbon Senior Research Fellow at the Sustainability Research Institute of the University of East London. She holds two PhDs in environmental social science: one in Environmental Science from the University of Liverpool (2015-2019) and another in Environmental Management from Tehran, Iran (2010-2014). With over 17 years of combined academic and industry experience across the UK, Europe, China, Iran, and India, her work bridges research, consultancy, and policy engagement.
Her research integrates mixed methods to examine the social dimensions of climate change adaptation, with a focus on stakeholder engagement, behavioural change, and risk communication. She specialises in responses to climate extremes, particularly urban heat and overheating risks in the UK, and explores how inclusive risk communication can drive equitable adaptation. Her contributions include high-impact publications on extreme heat adaptation, SME decarbonisation, and climate services, as well as policy recommendations. She has held a British Academy Innovation Fellowship on residential cooling in a changing climate and has seen her research featured in national and international media. Dr Khosravi translates academic insights into actionable policy on climate adaptation.
