Glen Whyte is a Professor of Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management at the Joseph L. Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. He holds the Marcel Desautels Chair in Integrative Thinking. His research interests include individual and group judgment and decision making, and managerial negotiations. Whyte earned a PhD, MPhil, and MA from Yale University, a JD from Osgoode Law School at York University, and an MBA from the University of Toronto. He has served as Executive Director of MBA Programs at Rotman from 1995 to 1998, Associate Dean of Curriculum at Rotman, and is currently Academic Director of the Rotman and Institute of Corporate Directors’ Education Program. Whyte teaches courses in managerial negotiations, decision making, and leadership across the 2YR MBA, 3YR MBA, EMBA, Omnium, and various executive programs. He frequently consults to the private and public sectors on negotiation and dispute resolution, decision making, risk management, and corporate governance.
Whyte has held the Desautels Chair since 2003 and has been a professor in organizational behaviour and human resource management since 1998. His professional contributions include leadership in curriculum development and executive education programs focused on corporate governance and board effectiveness.
