Ali Haider Mohammed is a dedicated and accomplished lecturer in the School of Pharmacy at Monash University Malaysia. With a specialization in Comprehensive Care: Pathogens, host defence, and treatment, he serves as the unit coordinator for PHR3141, bringing expertise and passion to his teaching. He holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Pharmacy (Pharmacy Practice) and is pursuing a Doctorate by Research at the Malaysia School of Pharmacy. Renowned for his exceptional teaching abilities, Mohammed effectively communicates complex concepts, fosters critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and mentors undergraduate students in their research projects. He also holds an adjunct lecturer position at Al Rafidain University College, contributing to pharmacy education beyond Monash.
Mohammed's research interests include observational research (retrospective, prospective, quantitative, and qualitative studies), quality of life and public health, pharmacy practice and clinical pharmacy, pharmacy education, and outcome-based research. He has an extensive publication record exceeding 25 articles in prestigious journals, significantly advancing knowledge in pharmacy practice and patient care. Key publications encompass "Development and validation of a questionnaire assessing pharmacists' knowledge and practice towards antimicrobial stewardship in oncology care" (PLoS ONE, 2025), "Decriminalizing and Legalizing Cannabis for Clinical Benefits in Malaysia: Perspective Among Pharmacists (A Qualitative Study)" (Journal of Psychoactive Drugs, 2025), "Development and validation of a knowledge questionnaire regarding the relationship between bacterial resistance and cancer among oncologists" (Journal of Infection and Chemotherapy, 2025), "Embodying the planetary health education framework in our teaching: Evaluating students’ engagement with co-designed international infectious diseases curriculum" (Innovations in Education and Teaching International, 2025), and "Evaluating knowledge, habits, and beliefs regarding dietary supplements during pregnancy: a cross-sectional study from eight Arab countries" (2024). His achievements are underscored by awards such as the Monash University School of Pharmacy Staff Publication Award (2020 and 2021), PVC's Commendation for Excellence in Education (2022), School Research Grant for Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Education Research (2021), and an External Research Grant from Al-Rafidain University College (2023).
