Dr Weaver participates in university governance as an attendee of the Committee for the Advancement of Learning and Teaching. She has contributed to research as a member of the Longitudinal Interprofessional Study Group. Key publications include the 2022 BMJ Open paper 'Longitudinal impact of preregistration interprofessional education on the attitudes and skills of health professionals during their early careers: a non-randomised trial with 4-year outcomes', which assessed a 5-week Tairāwhiti IPE immersion programme's effects on final-year health students from disciplines such as dentistry, dietetics, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and radiation therapy, demonstrating significant and sustained improvements in attitudes towards healthcare teams and team skills over four years. She also contributed to the 2018 BMJ Open protocol for this quasi-experimental study. Dr Weaver has been acknowledged for administrative support in multiple theses related to nutrition, dietetics, and health research.
